Boots and Buckles 4-H Horse Club Headed to State

After months of hard work and dedication from 4-H Club Leader Lindsay Kiefer, club members, volunteers, and parents, four members of the Boots and Buckles 4-H Horse Club are headed to the State 4-H Horse Show in Tampa.

With help from the community and business partners and participants in a recent club sponsored 4-H Horse Show, Jackson County will once again be represented at a State level competition. 4-H members Madison Smith, Jenna Hughes, Warren Loper and Faith Macks will be competing in the five speed events that include cloverleaf barrels, pole bending, cones, stake race, and keyhole. Youth will also be competing in a ground handling class.

Lindsay took over the 4-H club earlier this year and has hit the ground running. She has held weekly practices, taught the youth how to hold a club meeting, and worked with them diligently on their record books. She has put her heart into this group of young people and we are very excited to see what the future brings.
