This program has been advertised since the fall of 2013 but this is the first time that any 4-H youth from Jackson County have answered the call.

Local youth were given an overview of the need for 4-H youth to provide community and government leaders an insiders’ view of the knowledge gained and benefits of participating in 4-H programs, and for Jackson County 4-H to be represented not only at the County council level, but at the District and State levels as well. Emphasis was placed on the value that ACTIVE participation on the Council can bring to their 4-H Portfolios, and how important it is to create and maintain a portfolio for their future college and employment aspirations.
