Jackson County 4-H Livestock Clinics and 2015 Fed Cattle Show Weigh-In

Dates: September 13, 2014 and
*September 27, 2014 (Official Weigh-In for Fed Cattle Show)
Time: 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM
Where: Jackson County Ag Center (Hwy. 90)

Jackson County 4-H Youth Development will be offering two livestock workshops. Topics to be covered include animal nutrition and health, showmanship, bio-safety, and record books.

Dr. Carolyn Gable, DVM of Keller Veterinary Services, will be with us on September 27, 2014 to write Official Certificates of Veterinary Inspection (OCVI), as will Dr. Mary Gessert, VMO with USDA, APHIS, Veterinary Services, who will share information regarding bio-safety issues with livestock.

Vaccinations for Jackson County 4-H and FFA exhibitor’s animals will be available at both clinics and the official weigh-in for the 2015 Fed Cattle Show will be held at the September 27, 2014 clinic.

These teaching activities are open to the public.
