Shelby Calloway awarded Farm City Day Scholarship

Shelby Calloway was awarded the $1500 Farm City Day Scholarship.

2012 Ed Jowers Farm City Day Scholarship

Shelby Calloway of Malone was awarded $1500 as the 2012 recipient of the Ed Jowers Farm City Day Scholarship. She is the daughter of Kim and Sharron Calloway. Shelby is a graduate of Malone High School and was a member of the Academic Honor Roll. She was very involved in FFA, holding both Junior and Senior FFA offices, Malone High School’s FFA President her senior year, served as District 2, Sub-district 1 co-chair for 2012, Chipola FFA Federation President 2012. Shelby also currently serves as the Area 1 State Vice President for the Florida FFA.

The Farm City Scholarship is awarded based on three criteria: student or their family is involved in a commercial agriculture business, the student planning to major in an agricultural field, and thirdly their involvement in 4-H and/or FFA. The committee selects the individual who most meets the criteria, has a high academic standing, and has outstanding recommendations.
