Guidance on International Activities and Disclosure from the Office of Research

The UF Office of Research has updated their guidance for faculty engaged in international activities. The information is posted on their Disclosing International Relationships and Activities to UF and Federal Agencies page ( The guidance clarifies expectations regarding faculty disclosures of non-University activities and resources. The page features FAQs and examples of activities that must be disclosed, and guidance on reporting activities to federal agencies.

While not new information, the page does remind faculty that all commitments of time or resources, whether compensated or not, need to be disclosed to department leadership for approval prior to initiating the commitment. This includes other affiliations/appointments at another institution or participation in foreign talent recruitment programs.
