Alachua County
Extension Agent I – IV – Family and Consumer Sciences – Nutrition and Foods

The University of Florida/IFAS Extension and Alachua County are seeking to fill a fulltime, permanent status accruing FCS Extension Agent position in nutrition and foods. The successful candidate will lead FCS education through the design, implementation, evaluation, and reporting of Extension programs on nutrition, food safety, food preservation, and food entrepreneurship. Audiences will include cottage food producers, shared-use kitchen users, non-profit organizations, and the public. The successful candidate will also contribute (5%) to 4-H Youth Development program in area of expertise.
A Bachelor’s degree in family and consumer sciences, food science, nutrition, dietetics, health and wellness, or a closely related field is required.
Miami-Dade County
Extension Agent I – II – Family and Consumer Sciences

This full‐time permanent status accruing Extension Agent will work jointly for UF/IFAS Extension and Miami-Dade County. The successful candidate will lead through designing, implementing, and evaluating community-based education programs that improve financial literacy and help individuals, families, and communities improve their economic well-being. Educational programs may be targeted to help individuals and families manage financial resources or own a home (about 55% of your time). The successful candidate will work with beginning and established cottage food and food entrepreneurs on topics such starting a food business, food safety, labeling and packaging, regulations, and financial management (about 40% of your time). At least 5% of the candidate’s time will be devoted to 4‐H Youth Development. The Family Consumer Science Agent’s extension education program will be guided by an advisory committee that incorporates the needs of the county’s varied population.
A bachelor’s degree in family and consumer sciences, business, economics, financial management, or a closely related discipline is required.
Osceola County
Osceola County – Kissimmee, FL – Extension Agent I – II – 4-H Youth Development

As an Extension Agent, you will work jointly for the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) Extension and Osceola County, a growing area in east central Florida. We are looking for a positive youth development professional who is a self-starter, energetic, and team oriented. The 4-H Youth Development Agent focuses on 1) volunteer development and 2) positive youth development through collaboration with 4-H volunteers, 4-H Extension colleagues, and Extension colleagues in the other Extension program areas.
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in youth development, agriculture education, education, community development, sociology, or a closely related field is required.
Santa Rosa County
County Extension Director and Extension Agent II – IV – Small Farms and Livestock

University of Florida/IFAS Extension and Santa Rosa County are seeking to fill a permanent-status accruing, full-time Extension Agent position with a self-starting, energetic, team-oriented individual who will also serve as County Extension Director (CED). The educational responsibilities of this agent encompass strong leadership within the agent’s academic specialty to design, implement, and evaluate extension programming to meet the needs of the county’s varied population. This position includes programming with an emphasis on small farms in 1) sustaining and improving farm agricultural profitability and 2) improving farm and land management practices.
A master’s degree from an accredited college or university in agriculture, agronomy, animal sciences, or plant sciences and at least five years of professional Extension experience or equivalent are required.
Sarasota County
Extension Agent I – IV – Family and Consumer Sciences

University of Florida IFAS Extension and Sarasota County seek to fill a 12-month, permanent status-accruing Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) Extension Agent position. As the Agent, you will develop, implement, evaluate, and report on a comprehensive FCS Extension program. The focus areas will be on strategies and programs that address the critical connections between nutrition, aging, chronic disease management and housing. Educational programs will support healthier lifestyles, enhance long-term well-being, and improve living conditions for older adults and others facing health and housing challenges. A minimum of 5% of the Agent’s time will be devoted to 4-H Youth Development programming in partnership with the county 4-H Agent.
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in family and consumer sciences, nutrition science or dietetics, gerontology, health and wellness, financial management, or a closely related field is required.
