Bay County
County Extension Director and Extension Agent II – IV – Sea Grant

University of Florida/IFAS Extension and Bay County seek to fill a permanent-status accruing, full-time Extension Agent position with a self-starting, energetic, team-oriented individual who will also serve as County Extension Director (CED; 25-35%). The educational responsibilities of the CED/Agent encompass strong leadership with respect to Sea Grant/Marine Science (65-75%). Applications from any qualified agent currently appointed to serve in Bay County will also be accepted regardless of subject matter responsibilities.
As a Sea Grant Extension Agent and County Extension Director (CED), you will work jointly for UF/IFAS Extension in the Northwest Extension District and Bay County in the Florida panhandle. We are looking for an individual that is a self-starting, energetic, and team-oriented leader.
A master’s degree from an accredited college or university in marine policy, coastal management, marine recreation, resource development, fisheries, aquaculture, marine biology, resource economics, or a related discipline is required.
Broward County
County Extension Director AND Extension Agent II – IV OR Program Agent II – IV – Natural Resources

We are looking for candidates with academic and people skills who work well in teams, honor their commitments, and innovate in a rapidly changing world. As a County Extension Director (CED) and Extension Agent, you will work jointly for UF/IFAS Extension and Broward County. As the CED (about 75% of your time), you will provide leadership and support for administering and supervising the total extension program within Broward County, with an emphasis on integrating emerging technologies to enhance program delivery, data management, and the decision-making process. As the Natural Resources Agent (about 25% of your time), your role focuses on developing and implementing educational programs that integrate emerging technologies, such as data capture systems and dashboard reports, to improve data-driven decision-making and natural resource management. Your guidance will be informed by an advisory committee that addresses the needs of the county’s population, aiming to enhance community capacity through effective leadership.
A master’s degree in natural resources, natural sciences, education, public administration, or a related field is required.
Okaloosa County
Extension Agent I – III – Commercial and Environmental Horticulture

University of Florida/IFAS Extension and Okaloosa County seek to fill a permanent-status accruing, full-time Extension Agent position with a self-starting, energetic, team-oriented individual. The educational responsibilities of this position encompass strong leadership with respect to the Horticulture program, including the including Florida Friendly Landscaping programs (FFL), and Green Industries Best Management Practices GI-BMP (70%), and educating clients to prepare for obtaining pesticide application licenses (25%). The additional 5% of time is dedicated to support of the 4-H youth program through horticulture work coordinated with the 4-H Agent.
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in horticulture, or a related field is required.
Osceola County
Extension Agent I or II – Family and Consumer Sciences – Housing and Financial Management

A bachelor’s degree in family and consumer sciences, business, economics, financial management, or a closely related discipline is required. We will accept applicants without a bachelor’s degree if the degree will be earned by May 2025.
Santa Rosa County
County Extension Director and Extension Agent II – IV – Small Farms and Livestock

The educational responsibilities of this agent encompass strong leadership within the agent’s academic specialty to design, implement, and evaluate extension programming to meet the needs of the county’s varied population. This position includes programming with an emphasis on small farms in 1) sustaining and improving farm agricultural profitability and 2) improving farm and land management practices.
A master’s degree from an accredited college or university in agriculture, agronomy, animal sciences, or plant sciences and at least five years of professional Extension experience or equivalent are required.
Wakulla County
County Extension Director and Extension Agent II – IV – Horticulture and Small Farms

University of Florida/IFAS Extension and Wakulla County are seeking to fill a permanent-status accruing, full-time Extension Agent position with a self-starting, energetic, team-oriented individual who will also serve as County Extension Director (CED). The educational responsibilities of this agent encompass strong leadership within the agent’s academic specialty to design, implement, and evaluate extension programming to meet the needs of the county’s varied population. This position includes 1) residential horticulture, 2) Master Gardener Volunteer (MGV) training in Wakulla and Franklin counties, 3) small farms. Your role as an Extension Agent will account for 75% of time in your specific program area. All non-4-H Extension faculty members contribute 5% effort to the 4-H Youth Development program. Your role as CED will account for no more than 20% of your time.
A master’s degree from an accredited college or university in agriculture, agronomy, animal sciences, or plant sciences is required.
