Miami-Dade County
County Extension Director & Extension Agent II – IV

We are looking for candidates with academic and people skills who work well in teams, honor their commitments, and innovate in a rapidly changing world. As a County Extension Director (CED) and Extension Agent, you will work jointly for UF/IFAS Extension and Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation, and Open Spaces Department. As the CED and Extension agent, you will provide leadership and support for administering and supervising the total extension program within Miami-Dade County.
A master’s degree in agriculture, natural resources, family and consumer sciences, community development, educational administration, other behavioral sciences, or a related field is required.
Putnam County
Extension Agent I – Rural Community Health

The focus areas will be human nutrition, healthy lifestyles, and improving individual and community health and well-being. You will empower individuals and families to adopt healthy eating habits and lifestyle behaviors that can prevent or delay the onset of chronic illnesses such as heart disease, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and diabetes. You will also deliver programs that improve individual and community health outcomes and help navigate pathways for access to appropriate health care for rural and underserved communities in Putnam County.
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in family and consumer sciences, nutrition, dietetics, health & wellness, or a closely related field is required. We will accept applicants without a bachelor’s degree if the degree is earned by August 2024.
Santa Rosa County
County Extension Director and Extension Agent II – IV – Small Farms and Sustainable Agriculture

University of Florida/IFAS Extension and Santa Rosa County are seeking to fill a an Extension Agent position with a self-starting, energetic, team-oriented individual who will also serve as County Extension Director (CED). The educational responsibilities of this agent encompass strong leadership within the agent’s academic specialty to design, implement, and evaluate extension programming to meet the needs of the county’s diverse population. This position includes programming with an emphasis on small farms in 1) sustaining and improving farm agricultural profitability and 2) improving farm and land management practices. Your role as an Extension Agent will account for 75% of time in your specific program area.
A master’s degree from an accredited college or university in agriculture, agronomy, animal sciences, or plant sciences is required.
St. Lucie County
Extension Agent I or II – Family Consumer Science

The successful candidate will design, implement, and evaluate community-based education programs that improve financial literacy and help individuals, families, and communities improve their economic well-being. Educational programs may be targeted to help individuals and families manage financial resources or own a home (about 55% of your time). The successful candidate will work with beginning and established cottage food and food entrepreneurs on topics such as starting a food business, food safety, labeling and packaging, regulations, and financial management (about 40% of your time). At least 5% of the candidate’s time will be devoted to 4‐H Youth Development.
A bachelor’s degree in family and consumer sciences, business, economics, financial management, or a closely related discipline. We will accept applicants without a bachelor’s degree if the degree will be earned by December 2024.
