Bradford County
Extension Agent I – III – 4-H Youth Development

We seek candidates with both academic and people skills who work well in teams, honor their commitments, and innovate in a rapidly changing world. We are looking for an individual that is self-starting, energetic, and team-oriented whose educational responsibilities include emphasis on positive development of youth ages 5 to 18. Programs should center on 4-H projects in agriculture and the national 4-H priorities of civic engagement (leadership and citizenship), healthy living, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). The selected candidate will be able to manage a volunteer system that supports the development and operation of the Bradford County 4-H program.
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in youth development related areas, animal science, education, non-profit/volunteer management, agriculture, or a closely related field is required. We will accept applicants without a bachelor’s degree if the degree will be earned by August 2023.

Extension Agent I – IV – Family and Consumer Sciences

The University of Florida/IFAS and Hillsborough County seek to fill a 12-month, permanent status-accruing Extension Agent position. As an Extension Agent, you will work jointly for UF/IFAS Extension and Hillsborough County, a highly populated area on Florida’s west coast. We are looking for an individual who is self-starting, energetic, and team-oriented with skills in family and consumer sciences, specializing in family life, child development, parenting, mental well-being, and work/life balance. Your primary role will be to provide extension education programs that support family and human relationships, personal and mental well-being, and human development.

Lake County (Multicounty)
Extension Agent I – IV – Commercial Crop Production and Food Systems

As an Extension Agent, you will work jointly for UF/IFAS Extension and Lake County, a growing county in central Florida. Additionally, you will serve as the Commercial Fruit Crop Production Agent for Orange County. We are looking for an individual with skills in fruit and vegetable production and food systems. “Food systems” in the context of this position includes sustainable production, harvesting, processing, packaging, marketing, and consumption of local foods. Food systems encompasses community food initiatives, community-supported agriculture, farm to consumer efforts, consumer education of agricultural operations, farmers markets, and agri-tourism.

Manatee County
County Extension Director AND Extension Agent II – IV OR Program Extension Agent II – IV

As an Extension Agent and County Extension Director (CED), you will work jointly for UF/IFAS Extension and Manatee County. The academic program focus of this Extension Agent position is open to all Extension Program disciplines including Family, Youth and Community Sciences, 4-H Youth, Public Policy, Agriculture, Extension Education, Community Resource Development, Natural Resources, or Horticulture. As the Agent, you will devote about 60% of your time towards a county educational program. As the CED, you will spend about 30% of your time leading the total Manatee County Extension program. This position also includes a 10% effort to support the county 4-H Youth Development program in all areas of expertise (except 4-H Youth).
A master’s degree in an academic background including Family, Youth, and Community Sciences, Public Policy, Agriculture/Extension Education, Community Resource Development, or Natural Resources, or a related field is required.
Marion County

County Extension Director and Extension Agent II – IV in Agriculture

Program Extension Agent I – III or Extension Agent II – IV – Chemicals in the Environment

State Specialized Extension Agent II – IV – Food Science

The agent is expected to lead and participate in all aspects of a food science initiative surrounding the Florida Culinary Accelerator at Immokalee, a 5,274-sq. ft. state-of-the-art culinary kitchen that offers shared-use food processing space for a broad array of hot and cold products, produce, sauces, baked goods, juices, and beverages. The agent will develop an educational program that aligns with the UF/IFAS Extension Roadmap Initiatives 1 and 5 (Food Systems and Nutrition & Food Systems, respectively).
A master’s degree is required. Degrees must be from an accredited college or university in food science or a related field.
