The purpose of the Food Systems Infographic was to visually explain to the audience how Florida’s food system works. The illustrator wanted to create a piece that had movement to it. She used the road to show how food moves from one part of the system to another. It was important to include fishing, agricultural systems, dairy, citrus juicing, schools and cruise ships as these are all Florida specific systems.

In addition to the static illustration of the infographic, this design was created to become the basis for an animation which will include moving parts of the design as well as pop-up text explaining the different aspects and provide facts for the illustration. The animation portion of the design is still in the design process.
