The goal of Make a Difference poster series, “Fight the Bite,” “Keep Beach Light Out of Sight,” and “Join Us,” was to increase visibility and name recognition of UF/IFAS Extension Sarasota County’s environmental and sustainability education efforts.

The posters encourage residents to take action and “make a difference” in their community through individual efforts, such as preventing light pollution during turtle-nesting season, reducing exposure to mosquito-borne illnesses, advocating for the preservation of tree canopy, and volunteering for various roles in community activities and events.

These posters were installed in 4-foot standing poster frames with detachable brochure pocket-holders and placed in 10 libraries around Sarasota County, Florida.
