TERMINALFOUR (T4) Tip 3: Updating Media Library Assets

Intended Audience:

TERMINALFOUR WEB MAINTAINERS, END-USER MODERATORS, PRIMARY WEB COORDINATORS and CONTRIBUTORS

TIP: You can update existing assets from the T4 media library

Takeaway: Updating T4 assets in the media library allows you to keep the most current copy of your assets without keeping old files you don’t plan to use anymore.

Explanation: Updating an existing image you already have in the T4 media library is EASY! Updating T4 assets in the media library allows you to keep the most current copy of your assets. In this manner, you don’t need to store both an old and new version of assets if you don’t plan to use the old.

To update an existing T4 asset (image or document), just click the asset from the media gallery and select modify. You will then have the option to upload a new image that replaces the old. To see both the new and old version, check out the “History” tab from the same dialogue box. You can use the “History” tab to revert back to a previous version of the asset.
