After an extensive evaluation process, a committee comprised of college and department staff from across campus selected TERMINALFOUR as UF’s web content management (WCM) system. The contract was signed in January, with installation of the WCM expected before the end of the Spring 2014 term.

In addition to an updated adaptive design, TERMINALFOUR’s WCM system includes both a Social and Calendar module. The process of migrating websites will be a transparent one for site users and begin as soon as the installation of the new WCM system is complete. Among the first websites scheduled to migrate are UF’s “Critical Path” websites. Critical Path websites are managed by UFIT’s Web Services group and include the UF Homepage, the Office of the President and the UF Board of Trustees websites, and several more. Other campus websites in the first wave of migration to the new WCM system are Provost-managed sites like the Center for Latin American Studies and sites under the Warrington College of Business domain. After the initial migration of Critical Path and other first-wave sites, university departments and units may migrate to the new WCM system.

UFIT will provide support and assistance to units wanting to migrate to TERMINALFOUR. More information will be available via the Web Services website, on UFIT News, and the WEBMANAGERS list-serv.
