Are You An Official Holmes County 4-Her?

Are you an official Holmes County 4-H Member for this year? I am so excited that the new 4-H year has begun! 4-H club meetings will begin this week and I could not be happier! Remember that all youth must complete new enrollment every year so if your parents have not done the paperwork or completed the enrollment process online, there is still time! 4-H Enrollment is going on now.

Please read ALL of this information below so you are aware of some new changes in the 4-H enrollment process!

First, if you are a youth ages 8-19 (as of September 1, 2017), there is a required membership fee of $20.00 that covers the whole 4-H year. Parents/guardians will pay this fee when enrolling/re-enrolling each youth either online or by paper packet. Please note, if the membership fee is difficult on your family, simply talk to Ms. Niki about a 4-H membership scholarship immediately. We can help! Funds are available to help families with the membership fees.

Enrolling in 4-H is really simple! Click here to follow these easy steps: https://blogs.ifas.ufl.edu/holmesco/how-to-join/ Please note that according to Florida 4-H policy, youth (ages 8-18) are not considered official 4-H Members until their annual membership fee has been paid for the year.

I am so excited about our 2017-2018 4-H year! From archery and skeet shooting to raising chickens and showing rabbits, we have something fun and educational for every child in Holmes County!

If you plan to ride a bus from school to the 4-H Office, remember your bus note to ride Ms. Angel’s Bus (# 39).

If you need any assistance at all with enrollment, we will gladly assist you! Simply email me at ncrawson@ufl.edu or give us a call at 850-547-1108. As always, we strive to “Make the Best Better!” We look forward to seeing everyone at our 4-H club meetings starting this week!

Sincerely,

Ms. Niki
