2026 Master Gardener Plant Sale

Welcome to the Master Gardener Plant Sale

A UF IFAS Extension volunteer wearing a green apron and name badge stands at a plant sale, holding up a soil-covered hand among potted plants in an outdoor market setting.
See you at the UF IFAS plant sale!

The Master Gardener Plant Sale returns on April 18 from 9 am to 1 pm at the Putnam County Fairgrounds. This annual community event offers many healthy plants, friendly volunteers, and simple gardening guidance. Guests are also encouraged to bring their own carts to make shopping easier. As a result, visitors can move through the sale with comfort and ease.

Plant Selection at the Master Gardener Plant Sale

The sale features native and non native plants, Florida Friendly selections, pollinator favorites, blueberry bushes, and several fruit trees. In addition, visitors will find citrus trees that follow University of Florida recommendations. Volunteers will be available to help guests choose plants that match local growing conditions. Because of their training, they can offer clear and helpful advice.

How Volunteers Prepare for the Event

Master Gardener Volunteers spend many months preparing for the event. They care for plants, plan displays, and organize each section of the sale. Their work supports the mission of UF IFAS Extension and provides residents with trusted gardening information. Furthermore, guests can learn about soil needs, watering routines, plant care, and ways to support pollinators at home.

Why This Sale Supports the Community

When visitors shop at the sale, they support the local Master Gardener Volunteer program. The funds help provide materials for classes, youth programs, community gardens, and free plant clinics. Because of this support, the program can continue to offer valuable horticulture education throughout the year. This creates strong connections between volunteers and the community.

A group of young citrus trees in black crates and pots is displayed outdoors on grass, surrounded by other potted plants and palms in a shaded area.
Fresh citrus coming your way: lemons, limes, and Gator Bites mandarins available at the sale.
