Spring into Vegetable Gardening Class

raised bed gcrecIf you have ever considered planting a spring vegetable garden, attend this 3-week series geared to beginners and learn all you need to get started. This workshop will be held on Tuesday evenings from 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. starting March 1st until March 15th. The cost is $25 per person or $40 per couple and includes handouts and seed samples. Classes will be held at UF/IFAS Extension Santa Rosa County located at 6263 Dogwood Drive in Milton.

Your registration includes all three events in the series:

  • March 1st: Getting started with a vegetable garden; site selection; soil preparation; composting; square foot gardening method
  • March 8th: General garden maintenance: watering, fertilizing, integrated pest management
  • March 15th: Seeding and transplanting basics; specifics on tomato, pepper, squash and cucumber
