Showing Gratitude – Hands to Larger Service

November is here, fall is in the air, and Thanksgiving is just around the corner. This time of year, we often think about all the things we are thankful for. However, when is the last time we showed our gratitude for these things to others? Often times we go through our busy day, and forget to say thank you to those that help us. Showing your gratitude to someone is super easy, and often times only cost you a few minutes of your time.

Gratitude, the quality of being thankful, can be shown in many ways such as a kind word, as nice card, helping someone with a chore, sharing a home baked good or giving someone a flower picked from your yard. As 4-H members, we pledge our “hands to larger service”. Often times we think this service has to come in the form of a club community service or service learning project. However, we can use our “hands to larger service” every day by showing kindness and gratitude to those around us.

How will you show your gratitude this November?
