Ron Magill Conservation Scholarship Challenge
Ron Magill and Zoo Miami are challenging 50 donors to help unlock a $5,000 investment for the Ron Magill Conservation Scholarship!
This scholarship is awarded to graduate students in the UF/IFAS Department of Wildlife Ecology and Conservation studying vertebrate animals in Central and South America. Past scholarship recipients studied tropical conservation ecology in Guyana; wildlife corridors in Columbia; the endangered Antillean manatee in Cuba; human-Andean Condor conflicts in Ecuador; and more.
Ron Magill is one of the world’s best-known wildlife experts and a Distinguished Alumnus of the University of Florida. He has brought wildlife conservation efforts into focus for thousands of people around the world.

Eller Family Challenge
Since 2021, Dana Eller of MWI Pumps has partnered with the UF/IFAS Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering on Giving Day. He is again matching all gifts to the David Eller ABE Teaching Building Fund, up to $5,000 total, to establish a new hands-on mechanical operations and biological engineering design collaborative learning space.
This year is extra special: thanks to generous support, the W. W. Glenn Teaching Building is set to open this May!

FMNP 25th Anniversary Challenge
In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Florida Master Naturalist Program, an anonymous donor is matching gifts to the FMNP endowment, up to $5,000 total!
The Florida Master Naturalist Program is an adult education initiative promoting awareness, understanding, and respect of Florida’s natural world. Participants gain science-based knowledge about ecosystems—freshwater, coastal, and uplands—through 40-hour core modules featuring classroom, field trips, and hands-on training to become stewards of Florida’s environment. Master Naturalists share their knowledge with their communities as volunteers, employees, ecotourism guides, and more.

Gator Geomatics Challenge
Pam & Russell Hyatt of Hyatt Survey Services are matching gifts dollar for dollar up to $3,000 total to the Dr. David Gibson Endowment for Geomatics, supporting student scholarships and travel awards, equipment and support for professional certification exams.
Dr. David Gibson was the founding director of the Geomatics (Surveying & Mapping) Program at UF and a dedicated faculty member for 40 years. To honor his legacy, former students and friends established this endowment to support the Geomatics Program he cherished.
Last year our geomatics alumni hollered louder than any other UF/IFAS group! Can they do it again?

Tyce Hall Challenge
Dave and Kristen Hall are matching gifts to the Tyler “Tyce” Hall Endowed Memorial Scholarship up to $1,000 total!
Tyler was a passionate Gator fan who never missed a home football game. He was known by his family and peers for not only his outstanding Gator spirit, but his kindness, generosity and positivity.
His family and friends came together to establish the scholarship in his name, which has benefited juniors and seniors studying forestry since 2021.

CALS Florida Youth Institute Challenge
Mary and Barham Cook are matching gifts to the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS) Florida Youth Institute, up to $2,500 total!
The CALS Florida Youth Institute is a life-changing experience at the University of Florida for high school students. Participants get the unique opportunity to engage with local leaders and experts on critical global challenges, participate in hands-on activities, and explore exciting ways to make a difference in Florida and around the world.
The R. Elaine Turner Endowment Fund in CALS was established in honor of Dr. Turner’s decade of service to the college. The endowment ensures that her passion for developing future leaders continues for generations to come. Through the fund, more students have the opportunity to explore global food security, agriculture, natural resources, and the life sciences. With hands-on experiences and expert mentorship, these students are taking their first steps toward becoming future Gators and changemakers.
