4-H Tropicana Public Speaking Program Winners Announced

Note: TO ENABLE LINKS, BE SURE TO CLICK ON TITLE ABOVE The Gadsden County 4-H Tropicana Public Speaking contest was held at the North Florida Research and Education Center in Quincy, Thursday, January 31, 2013. Ten contestants represented their schools with excellence and we are happy to announce the winners:

In Division I (4th and 5th grades) Phillip Hinson from GEMS won first place, second place winner is Jade Livingston from Tallavana Christian School, Fischer Stoll from Robert F. Munroe Day School took third place and Sierra Thompson was given honorable mention.

In Division II (6th grade) Aileen DeLeon from GEMS took first place while Tamia Hinson from Shanks Middle School won second and Emily Anderson from Robert F. Munroe Day School is the third place winner. Honorable mention went to Jacob Shirley from Tallavana Christian School.

First place winners are eligible to compete at the District 4-H Tropicana Public Speaking Contest in Leon County in May as well as winning a scholorship to Camp Cherry Lake week-long 4-H camping experience.
