4-H Franklin County Art Contest

Franklin County held its first 4H Art Contest in May 2026. From May 1 till May 15, students aged 8 to 18 were invited to participate by creating a work of art using a range of mediums from photography to pottery inspired by the theme: Capture the Charm of Coastal Life in Franklin County. Seven submissions were received. Judges used a rubric and an average score was determined. One blue ribbon, five red ribbons, and one white ribbon were awarded. The blue ribbon-winner was offered a scholarship to a week at Camp Timpoochee or I-LEAD 4H leadership opportunity. Special thanks to our community judges: Commissioners Croom and Ward, Sheriff AJ “Tony” Smith, Carrie Jones of FDACS, and Cheyenne Martin of FAMU Extension.
