National Ag Week is March 21 through March 27, 2021

.

National Ag Week is celebrated March 21 through 27. It is a great time to focus on the many contributions that Florida farmers make to our state economy, quality of life and vibrant communities.

But at the UF/IFAS Citrus Research and Education Center, every week is ag week! Every day, faculty and staff work to support Florida’s citrus industry literally stay in business. Whether it is researching how to control the Asian citrus psyllid that transmits the pathogen that spread citrus greening disease, learning more about the best nutrition and irrigation for trees across the state, teaching about food safety processes, or working to breed a greening-resistant citrus tree, IFAS CREC employees are discovering new knowledge, providing tools to growers to help them stay in business during challenging times and supporting the industry with science-based answers.

Check out the UF/IFAS CREC Facebook and Twitter pages for some great photos of Ag in Action!
