Discover 4-H Club

Want to learn more about 4-H? Join the Discover 4-H club, which meets monthly to see what 4-H is all about and learn about various topics. This month, the topic will be owls. Please RSVP to michelearoberts@ufl.edu by 5 pm on March 13th.

Get ready to kick off spring in style with an incredible selection of plants! Choose from Louisiana iris, native plants, Florida-friendly plants, succulents, vegetables, and herbs to enhance your garden or outdoor space. There will be tool sharpening, kid’s activities, and guided garden tours available!

Bring your plant questions, friends, and family, and let’s grow something amazing together!

Please note we can only accept cash or check donations to benefit the Brevard Discovery Garden.

Gardening Questions? Ask The MGs!

Brevard County Master Gardener volunteers | Monday – Friday, 9 am -5 pm (call ahead first)

Did you know you can contact our office with your gardening questions? Our knowledgeable Master Gardener volunteers will be happy to assist you! These dedicated volunteers are ready to educate Brevard County residents on soil testing, the soil food web, what to plant where, diagnostics on plant issues, and much more. Whether you’re facing specific challenges in your yard or garden or simply seeking information, they’re here to help.

Email your questions to brevard-mg1@ifas.ufl.edu or call 321-633-1702 and select option 2. If you’d like to visit in person, our address is 3695 Lake Dr., Cocoa, FL 32926. We also have clinics in libraries throughout Brevard. Since this is volunteer-based, consider calling ahead to ensure someone will be at the desk for you.


Florida Master Naturalist Program: Coastal Systems

March 14 – March 29 | 9 am – 5 pm

Are you curious about Florida’s diverse coastal ecosystems and eager to expand your conservation knowledge?

Join the Florida Master Naturalist Program (FMNP) for an exciting course in Brevard County! Gain the tools to promote conservation and educate others about Florida’s stunning natural resources.

Florida-Friendly Landscaping Seminar

March 22nd | 9 am – 2 pm | Melbourne Auditorium- 625 E. Hibiscus Blvd. Melbourne

Join us for a fun day of learning! There will be multiple presentations, vendors, free raffle drawings, and a Rain Barrel Workshop! Registration is not required but encouraged.

Brevard County Farmers Market

Every Thursday at the Regional Pavilion inside Wickham Park | 3 pm – 6 pm

Join us at the market to discover a variety of homemade food from local businesses! There are many unique products like grass-fed beef, Fresh from Florida produce, spices, honey, jams, coffee, nut butters, microgreens, edible plants, a variety of baked goods and vegan desserts, olive oil, salsas, and more! We also participate in the Fresh Access Bucks (FAB) token program! This program allows SNAP recipients to buy fresh produce and other goodies with their food stamp benefits.

4-H Fair & Market Poultry Auction

*Coming in April! * | Open to the public

Join us for the annual 4-H Fair and market poultry auction here at the Brevard County extension on April 12th from 9 am-1 pm! Explore what 4-H has to offer your family while supporting youth in our community. There will be live animals, art exhibits, food, a silent auction, and a live poultry auction to end the day!
