UF/IFAS Animal Sciences Have You HERD Program

Fall 2022 Have You HERD

This semester, the UF/IFAS College of Agricultural and Life Sciences Department of Animal Sciences (ANS) Undergraduate Advising Office successfully launched the “Have you HERD?” student program. If you have not already HERD, this new program is designed to give high school students a chance to experience being an Animal Sciences student at the University of Florida. The idea for the program came from wanting to showcase the unique department to high school students and allow them more access to witness everything available at the University of Florida.

Over the course of the semester, five high school students spent a day as an Animal Sciences student. These students were paired with current Animal Sciences students, with each of their schedules designed with their interests in mind. The selected students attended classes, toured the campus, and spent time with many current students, faculty, and staff.

Apply for Spring 2023 Have You HERD?

The Have You HERD? spring 2023 applications will open on December 2, 2022 and will close on January 15, 2023.
