The University of Wisconsin-Madison currently has two M.S. Research Assistant positions available in Dairy Science with a Fall 2017 start date.
Area of Interest:
- Simulation, optimization, expert systems and artificial intelligence using big-data real-time analyses and development of decision support tools for dairy farm management and decision-making.
Duties and Qualifications:
- The student will work simulating and optimizing whole dairy farm systems and developing decision support tools
- It is preferred that the student has skills in computer simulation modeling, decision support systems, statistical analyses, and code programming
- It is desired that the student has some familiarity or experience with expert systems, artificial intelligence, and/or machine learning algorithms

Duties and Qualifications:
- The student will work simulating and optimizing diets and nutritional groups for dairy cows
- The student must be familiar with computer simulation modeling and have statistical analytical skills. It is desired for the student to have experience with code programming
