Girl Scouts of West Central Florida Seeking Equestrian Manager & Riding Instructors for Both Full-time and Part-time Positions

Girl Scouts of West Central Florida is seeking a full-time Equestrian Manager & part-time Riding Instructors for Camp Wildwood, located in Sumter County, Florida.

The Equestrian Manager is responsible for implementing an equestrian program that provides opportunities to increase student horseback riding skills and knowledge. The manager will develop, promote, and provide equestrian programs for girls of all ages to serve girls and retain current girl membership.

Riding instructors will assist with weekend and seasonal programs.

Equestrian Manager Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Current recognized Horseback Riding Instructor certification for camp horseback riding program required
  • Experience in equine facility management
  • Group management experience with children
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
  • Demonstrated human relations skills
  • Ability to organize, plan, and implement a multi-faceted work load with minimal supervision and to work as a member of a team
  • Ability to perform medium work exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or 20lbs. of force frequently and 10lbs. of force constantly to move objects
  • Knowledge and acceptance of beliefs and principles of the Girl Scout movement; willing to register as a member of Girl Scouts of the USA
