Purina Animal Nutrition Team is currently looking to hire a Cattle/Equine Sales Intern to be based out of Florida.
This is a paid internship position that will focus on beef and equine feed sales projects. Interns will be provided training through Purina Animal Nutrition and the working location is dependent on those of the Purina Animal Nutrition Team members.
The feed sales intern will:
- Work alongside sales representatives and the Purina Animal Nutrition team with dealers and ag cooperatives to learn their feed business and customers
- Develop a plan to expand sales territory and work with current and prospective customers
- Gain experience coordinating informational events for producers and overall exposure to farm supply dealers and cooperative structure
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in an animal sciences or agriculture related major
- Junior or senior status and previous animal sciences-based sales experience are strongly preferred
- Understanding of animal husbandry, management practices, nutritional guidelines and industry knowledge
- Strong interpersonal communication ability, excellent organizational and time management skills
- Possess a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the US as well as meet the qualifications listed above in order to be considered for the position
