My favorite memory at the University of Florida was during SwampCon, a convention that I ran at the Reitz Union. It was right before one of our main events and the line went from the Grand Ballroom to wrapped all along the floor. It felt amazing that all of these people came to UF for a weekend event that I was able to help organize and run due to my amazing team.
The ABE department was extremely welcoming and incredibly helpful throughout the entire time that I was here. I am so glad to be a part of the ABE family. It’s easily the best department at UF. The faculty and advisors here are amazing. All of my professors, especially Dr. Adam Waston, were monumental in preparing me for the next leg of my journey, attaining my Master of Business Administration.
There are so many that I could thank for their help and guidance at ABE. I would like to thank Robin Snyder for being there for me and guiding my academic life as well as aiding me throughout my research project. I would like to thank Dr. Adam Watson for all of his guidance and endless hours of help though the Agricultural Operations Management (AOM) Club, my class, and my research project. He is an amazing faculty member, and UF is extremely lucky to have him. I would like to thank Dr. Wendell Porter for all of his advice, knowledge, and aid. As one of my first professors and last professors as ABE, he was amazing and always a bright period in my busy schedule. I will always thing of the construction labs fondly. They taught me to be confident and reach outside of my comfort zone.
After graduation, I will attend graduate school at University of Central Florida to attain my Master of Business Administration. Post-MBA, I will enter the industry of sustainable energy and biofuels where I can strive to be at the forefront of innovation and revolution.
Network and socialize with your peers! Always reach out to your professors and teaching assistants. A network and support system is amazing to have throughout your four years. Don’t be afraid to try new things! Join clubs! I highly suggest the AOM Club, they’re an awesome group!
