November 11 is Veterans Day; NATA commends all U.S. military service members

The Natural Areas Training Academy would like to thank all of the men and women who have served and who are currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. We sincerely appreciate your bravery and courageous service to our country. Veterans that served our country now represent state agencies such as the Florida Park Service and Florida Forest Service; city and municipal fire departments; NGOs; and county and federal agencies, and have been attending NATA workshops since 2000. NATA is proud to have so many veterans interested in our mission!

Free Admission to all Florida State Parks

You can honor a veteran this Veterans Day by: attending a Veterans Day parade or event in your area; donating to an organization that supports and provides essential services to veterans; flying the American flag (please ensure proper rules for displaying by visiting Military.com’s guide to the flag); writing a letter to a veteran (you don’t need to personally know one to do this!); volunteering at a local VA hospital; or going outdoors with a veteran! Admission is free for all visitors at U.S. National Parks and for all Florida State Parks on Veterans Day!
