Agenda: CORE Training and Exam

7:45-8:00 — Registration and Introduction

8:00-9:40 Pesticide Effects on Humans and the Environment

Understanding the environmental fate of pesticides and the impact on humans enables the applicator to make the safest product selection.

9:40 – 10:40 Pesticide Labeling

By familiarizing themselves with pesticide labels, applicators learn how to use products in a manner that reduces the risk of harm to people and the environment.

10:40-11:40 CEUs Issued / Exam

11:40-12:30—Scheduled time for lunch break

Agenda: Right of Way Training & Exam

12:30-1:20 p.m.— Weed Biology and Identification – Understanding plant growth and identification allows correct herbicide selection

1:20-2:10 p.m.— Weed Control Methods – Review or current chemical and non-chemical herbicides and techniques

2:10-2:25 p.m.— Break

2:25-3:15 p.m.— Understanding Herbicide Labels – By familiarizing themselves with product labels, applicators will be able to use herbicides in a manner that protects people, wildlife and natural resources.

3:15-4:05 p.m.— Calculating Application Rates — Mathematic determination of the area being treated assists the applicator in effective control of undesirable vegetation and apply herbicides safely.

4:05-4:15 p.m. – Review / Eval

4:15-5:20 p.m. – Exam
