4-H’ers Learn Quilting Over Spring Break

This past week about 20 kids participated in Walton County 4-H’s Quilting Workshop while out on Spring Break. While we had a few returners, we also had some newbies who learned how to use a sewing machine for the first time. The kids spent several hours each day with volunteers from the Chautauqua Quilters Guild and took home a variety of projects. When they weren’t with the quilters they spent time on other crafting projects, and learned about how cotton and other agriculture relates to the textile industry.
