Master Gardener Classes Being Offered

Master Gardener classes are scheduled to begin on January 29, 2015 .

Would you like to learn more about landscaping and gardening in our area? The Florida Master Gardener Volunteer Program offered by University of Florida/Wakulla County Extension offers basic gardening and landscape skills for homeowners.

Registrants have the choice of selecting day or evening classes and the cost is $65.00 which covers all class materials. Class availability will depend on at least ten students registering.

Requirement to become a Master Gardener:

  • Complete a Master Gardener Application Florida Master Gardener Application Form 2015
  • Pay $65 Fee
  • Complete a background check
  • Complete 50 hours training (includes classroom, demonstration garden, as well as 4 hours continuing education hours)
  • Complete 75 volunteer hours within the first year of certification through your local county Extension office
