Graduate Certificate in Forest Health & Resilience

Felicia is a graduate from Fort Myers, FL and has recently completed her certificate in Forest Health and Resilience. Her volunteer experiences include her current position as Treasurer for the Southwest Florida Watershed Council.

The Southwest Florida Watershed Council is made up of collaborators that come together to address the ecological issues affecting the Caloosahatchee and Big Cypress watersheds. Their mission is to protect, conserve, manage and/or restore the land and watershed to benefit succeeding generations.

Felicia currently works as a land manager with the Lee County Conservation Lands department, and says, “before I started working there I was a volunteer.” In the past, she has volunteered with local environmental agencies to organize and host trash cleanups and with the local school district for environmental education. She says, “My favorite volunteer experience was working with young students in environmental education because seeing them get excited about protecting nature is great!”
