Operation Cleansweep: free chemical cleanout for businesses

Calling all businesses: here is a safe and economical way to dispose of your canceled, suspended, and unusable pesticides (CSUP) …for FREE!

If you are in pest control, golf course, agricultural, greenhouse, or nursery operations and in need of a safe and economical way to dispose of pesticides – look no further! The Florida Legislature has approved funding for Operation Cleansweep 2018. Administered through Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS), this program offers a safe, convenient, and cost effective way to properly dispose of canceled, suspended, and unusable pesticides (CSUP) to commercial users of pesticides. Since its inception in 1995, Operation Cleansweep has collected and disposed of more than 1,762,000 pounds (881 tons) of CSUPs from all 67 Florida counties. Operation Cleansweep is a FREE statewide pesticide pickup up to 1,000lbs. Sign up is required and is currently underway for an anticipated January 2018 collection day. This opportunity is available on a first-come, first-served basis and funding is limited.
