The City of Largo Recycled Innovations Contest returns with a challenge to get creative with trash. Participants of all ages are invited to this online contest, which challenges them to construct useful items consisting of at least 75 percent discarded material. Innovators are encouraged from the Tampa Bay area and beyond.

Participants will be eligible for innovative prizes like solar powered chargers for cell phones, MP3 players and small electronics, a solar powered back pack, a paper recycling machine and learning toys and much more!

One winner from each age category will be selected. One Facebook Choice Award will be selected by Largo Recycles Facebook followers. Prizes will be awarded to the participants receiving the most online votes in those age categories.

Deadline for entry including photo submission and entry description is October 24. Facebook voting runs from November 1-12 at Facebook.com/LargoRecycles. In honor of America Recycles Day winners will be invited to receive their prizes on television.
