Video Recording: Plant Doctors and Plant Health Professionals Conference

In February of this year, the University of Florida’s Doctor of Plant Medicine Program was delighted to host the 2nd annual Plant Doctors and Plant Health Professionals Conference. Although the event was held virtually this year, due to COVID-19, over 50 participants including plant health doctors and professionals, graduate and undergraduate students, and other interested parties Zoomed in for the morning’s presentation and discussions.

A keynote address given by Mike Aerts of the Florida Fruit and Vegetable Association was outstanding and incredibly well received by all. This was followed by an interactive roundtable discussion involving Hugh Smith of the Entomology and Nematology Department at the University of Florida, Eunett James-Mack, Florida Agricultural Liaison for the Office of Field Operations/U.S. Custom and Border Protection, Robert C. Hochmuth the Assistant Center Director and Regional Specialized Extension Agent for the University of Florida, and Trevor Smith the Director of the Florida Department of Agricultural and Consumer Services, Division of Plant Industry.

If you weren’t able to attend the event live, don’t worry! You can find a recording of the entire conference here.
