Florida Bagrada Bug Regulations

APHIS’s Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) gives recognition to the State of Florida’s bagrada bug program under the Federally Recognized State Managed Phytosanitary (FRSMP) program.

If the bagrada bug (Bagrada hilaris) is detected in imported goods, shipments will be prohibited entry to Florida with no treatment option.

The bagrada bug is a pest of broccoli, cabbage, mustards, cauliflower and a wide range of other crops.
