Did You Miss FNGLA’s Florida Flower Trials? There’s Still Time to Take a Look…

FNGLA’s Florida Flower Trials is a two-day annual event where top plant breeders, education experts and key industry members come together to exchange ideas and witness which ornamental plant varieties can stand Florida’s oppressive heat and humidity. The three trial sites, Walt Disney World, Harry P. Leu Gardens and the UF/IFAS Extension Orange County, each feature flowers planted in both sun and shade. Each location brings with it a different perspective on planting designs, features and maintenance techniques. The breeders showcase exciting new colors, textures, pest-resistant and durable varieties.

The flower trials in the Exploration Gardens at the Extension Office are looking beautiful right now. If you missed the chance to see them in May, stop by to look at the annual flowers to see them for yourself. This year the trials are bigger and the layout makes it easy to see all of the varieties being tested in Central Florida! This is all free of charge, so be sure to take advantage of this great opportunity and spend some time in our Exploration Gardens.
