UF Flora and Fauna Festival to feature interactive science, food and fun

Who: UF/IFAS Doctor of Plant Medicine Program

What: The public is invited to learn about plants, bugs and more at this event, which will highlight local vendors, interest groups, students and businesses. Attendees can take guided tours of the UF/IFAS Natural Teaching Area and learn about the science of prescribed burns. There is no entry fee.

Proceeds will support students in the UF/IFAS Doctor of Plant Medicine Program at the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences. Established in 1999, this program is the first of its kind and is devoted to training students in the science of keeping plants healthy.

When: Feb. 8, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
