UF Students to Host First Annual ‘ExtravaCANza’ Event Benefitting the Alan and Cathy Hitchcock Field & Fork Pantry

Who: UF Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity, UF Sigma Alpha professional sorority, and UF/IFAS College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS)

What: The University of Florida Alpha Gamma Rho and Sigma Alpha organizations have partnered to invite fellow CALS-affiliated student groups and UF/IFAS faculty and staff to participate in a competition to build art sculptures out of canned goods. These nonperishable items will then be donated to the Alan and Cathy Hitchcock Field & Fork Pantry on UF’s campus.

When: March 14, 2019

  • 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. can sculptures will be made by participating “CANstructors”
  • 1:30 p.m. judging takes place
  • 2:15 – 2:45 p.m. awards ceremony
