NEW PEST ALERT: Thrips parvispinus (Karny)

*NEW PEST ALERT*

A sample of thrips collected in a Central Florida greenhouse on Hoya and Anthurium have been identified as Thrips parvispinus (Karny) by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services’ Division of Plant Industry (FDACS-DPI). This is the first case of this pest in the continental United States.
