Grape Field Day

Interested in growing grapes in Florida? There are special requirements for our area because of Pierce’s Disease. Find out the latest in UF/IFAS research at the 2019 Grape Field Day. The program will be held July 16, 2019 from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm at the Frank Stronach Conference Center. UF/IFAS Plant Science Research and Education Unit at 2556 West Highway 318, Citra, FL 32113. Topics covered include: enhancement of nutrient update in vineyards using soil amendments, disease management in muscadines and Pierce’s Disease resistant hybrids, breeding muscadine grapes for fresh market, vineyard trellising, pruning of muscadine grapes, breeding muscadine for health benefits, practical pest management for muscadine grapes, muscadine grape sparking wine, and field plot tour.
