Attention Nature Lovers! The Florida Master Naturalist Program will be offering an Uplands Module Spring 2019.

UF/IFAS Extension and the Florida Master Naturalist Program in Manatee County have released the dates for the Spring 2019 Uplands Module! Classes will be held every Thursday beginning on April 18th and running through May 23, 2019.

This core course will provide classroom, field trip and practical experience as related to the Upland Systems of Florida. Classroom instruction will cover ecology, habitats, vegetation, wildlife and conservation issues for Florida’s Hardwood forests, pinelands, scrub, dry prairie and rangelands as well as urban green spaces. Field trips will focus on providing students with real-life examples of these systems in Manatee County.

The Florida Master Naturalist Program (FMNP) is an adult education UF/IFAS Extension program developed by the University of Florida and provided by professionals throughout the state of Florida. FMNP training will benefit persons interested in learning more about Florida’s environment or wishing to increase their knowledge for use in education programs as volunteers, employees, ecotourism guides, and others.
