Manatee County Agriculturalist of the Year and Hall of Fame Awards recognize agriculuturalists for acheivements

Each year the Manatee County Farm City Week Committee selects two individuals in recognition of their contributions to the Manatee County Agriculture industry. Two awards are given annually; the Manatee County Outstanding Agriculturalist and Agriculture Hall of Fame. Award applications for 2018 are now being accepted and must be submitted by August 31, 2018. Eligible applicants include: farmers, industry representatives, crop consultants, agriculture educators, any anyone else involved with the agricultural sector.

The Outstanding Agriculturalist must be a current member of the community and will be honored during the Kiwanis Club of Bradenton Farm City Week Luncheon on Nov. 13, 2018. Nominees for the Manatee County Agriculture Hall of Fame may be living or deceased and will be honored at the Palmetto Historical Luncheon on Nov. 16, 2018. Photos of both recipients will be placed in the Manatee County Agricultural Museum and the Hall of Fame in Palmetto.
