2018 Water School in Manatee County: Registration now Open!

Manatee County Water School & Bus/Boat Tour Now Open for Registration!

Come “cool down” with us this summer at Water School. If you’ve ever wanted to learn more about Manatee County’s most precious resource, Water School is for you.

Join us on July 26 & 27, 2018

UF/IFAS Extension Manatee County Water School is a two-day event to be held July 26-27, and will feature a variety of dynamic and knowledgeable speakers as well as a bus tour visiting a local water wise community and farming operations AND for the first time this year, the tour includes a pontoon boat ride and educational tour of the Manatee River!

Participants will learn about water supply, quality and conservation as it pertains to both urban and rural communities in Manatee County. Topic areas will be focused on water and resource-conscious development, local working waterfronts and sustainable seafood, agricultural best management practices and more.

Hosted by the University of Florida/IFAS Extension Manatee County and sponsored by the Southwest Florida Water Management District, this program is a good way to understand water-related issues as they pertain to our region, become more involved in our community, and mingle with the experts.
