There is a variety of opportunities for youth, ages 5 to 18, to learn and get involved in their community. No matter where you live. Here are a few things that you can do…

Youth can experience 4-H through non-competitive and competitive projects, events and programs at the local, county, district, state and national level. Opportunities like project books, field days, talent shows, fairs and contests offer ways to learn new skills and meet new friends.

How can youth get involved? By joining or becoming involved in a 4-H club, 4-H Afterschool, 4-H in the classroom and 4-H Camps during the year.

Why should you as an adult volunteer? People volunteer for 4-H for many reason. However, there is a special sense of accomplishment in helping a new generation of young people grow and learn. Each of us has individual perspectives, knowledge, skills and talents that have been gained through life experience. More and more youth need the values, skills and guidance of 4-H volunteers. Just think how much the next generation could benefit from your lifetime of experience. We need 4-H volunteers to benefit Liberty County youth and share your knowledge, skills and talents with them so they can grow to become and active participant in the future.

Volunteer and pledge you’re HEAD to clearer thinking by giving a Liberty County 4-Her and opportunity for self-determination.

Pledge you’re HEART to greater loyalty and the positive caring adult that makes a different in a Liberty County 4-Her’s life.

Pledge you’re HANDS in teaching a Liberty County 4-Her to value and practice service for others.

Pledge you’re HEALTH to better living and help a Liberty County 4-Her’s engage in learning new and different things by developing self-confidence and the need to feel and believe they are capable of mastering skills through problem solving and can make positive career and life choices.
