Jackson 4-H Updates – August 22, 2018
Time to Enroll!
The 2018-2019 4-H Year officially starts September 1st but enrollment opened on August 20th. Just in time for participation in our many club, community and school programs. We have several new opportunities for school programs at Sneads Elementary, Riverside and the Blue Springs Enrichment Program, as well as a new afterschool 4-H program at Be Inspired. We are adding a Photography Club to our list of 4-H Clubs this year that already includes Robotics, Livestock, Dayspring Christian Academy, Country Bumpkins, Boots and Buckles Horse Club and ASK 4-H. We are still in critical need of a volunteer to take over our Shooting Sports Program so if you are interested, please contact the 4-H office.
Jackson 4-H Open House and Awards Celebration Ice Cream Social
It’s that time of year again – time to recognize the great work of our Jackson 4-H youth and volunteers and share what 4-H has to offer.
Please plan to attend our 4-H Awards and Open House Ice Cream Social on Tuesday, September 18th from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at the Jackson County Agricultural Conference Center on Penn Avenue. Come and meet our supporters and our members as they are recognized for their accomplishments and hear them share their 4-H stories. You will see first-hand what 4-H has to offer and learn about the many opportunities available here in Jackson County through our club, community, and school programs.
We will have ice cream and lots of toppings, so don’t miss out!
