State 4-H Headquarters will offer up to 15 full scholarships for volunteers to attend this year’s Volunteer Conference of Southern States (VCOSS) better known as Rock Eagle at Rock Eagle 4-H Center | Eatonton, Georgia | Thursday, September 27 – Sunday – September 30, 2018. The scholarship applications are now available to volunteers via 4-H Online.  To be considered for the scholarship please return your completed application to Angel Granger, Jackson 4-H Agent by August 22, 2018.

The Volunteer Conference of Southern States (VCOSS) provides an opportunity for 4-H staff and volunteers to learn, teach, and share 4-H experiences. Engaging workshops allows volunteers from across the nation to share innovative ideas related to enhancing county programs. Florida 4-H State Headquarters will offer up to 15 full scholarships for volunteers to attend the conference. Applicant Guidelines – Scholarships are only available to Florida 4-H volunteers.  Volunteers must be active for the 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 4-H year and must have an updated 4-H Online volunteer profile and background screening, volunteer profile for the current year must be reactivated by the scholarship deadline date. County 4-H Agent approval needed to be considered for the scholarship.  Volunteers will be responsible for their transportation to and from the conference. The scholarship includes full-time registration fee $325, all meals, lodging and conference events. Contact the 4-H Office for more information.
