Jackson County 4-H Shooting Sports Program Has New Life!

Jackson County 4-H Welcomes Archery Instructor Danny Wells

The Jackson County 4-H Youth Development Program is proud to announce the addition of Mr. Danny Wells to our 4-H volunteer ranks! Mr. Wells is a bow technician from McCoy’s Outdoors, and was the guest speaker at the 4-H shooting sports planning meeting held on Tuesday, October 6.

Mr. Wells discussed hunter safety, equipment safety and gave the youth an overview of the ethics involved in proper hunting practices. During the discussion one of the 4-H youth suggested that Mr. Wells consider becoming the club leader for this group. Lucky for us, Mr. Wells thought that was a good idea too!

Jackson County 4-H received a grant from the National Rifle Association this year, as well as a donation from the Chipola Sportsman’s Association which will help get this 4-H club off the ground. We would like to extend a big “Thank You” to McCoy’s Outdoors for sharing Mr. Wells with us!

If you have youth who were enrolled in this club last year, please make sure to re-enroll so that we can get information regarding club meetings and events to you. We expect that the club will fill up fast so make to enroll as soon as possible.
