New Technology in Commercial Crop Production – Workshop

Indian River County Extension Agriculture Agent Christine Kelly-Begazo will host a workshop for new technologies in commercial crop production on Wednesday, February 28th, from 8:45am to 4:00pm at the IRC Administration Complex. Six Extension Specialists from University of Florida, Cornell University and the University of Georgia will present topics live via internet including: Alternative Specialty Crops by Dr. Shinsuke Agehara, Disease Updates by Dr. Carrie Harmon, Weed Management in Vegetable Production by Dr. Nathan S. Boyd, Peach Production by Dr. Dario Chavez and New Technology in Postharvest Plastics by Dr. Jeff Brecht. Dr. Ross Welch from Cornell University will present Using Agriculture as a Tool for Better Health.
