The UF/IFAS Research Discoveries publication is the latest iteration of an annual report that has been issued for many years by the Dean for Research.

We designed an overview document that summarized the scope and workings of the UF/IFAS research enterprise, to which were added seven single-sheet documents. Each of these documents was devoted to a specific topic area, and contained six brief stories describing ongoing and concluded research projects with an impact on the lives of Floridians.

In order to keep these pieces together, we designed a pocket folder, which allowed us to customize packets targeted to specific audiences. The overall design concept made it possible to give recipients only the information most likely to interest them, rather than providing everyone with a complete pamphlet or book that might contain only a few pages of material relevant to their interests.
